C. H. Keefer Convertiplane of 1923/24

Hi,

I spoke before about this designer,and in 1924 for UK helicopter competition of 1920s,he submitted a convertiplane to this contest,but
he was American,and called Charles H. Keefer.

Ah yes, the great British Helicopter Competiton that never happened. Announced in 1923 with £50,000 of prizes on offer. By the closing date for entries in 1924 only a small number had been received (maybe just one) but none actually came forward to carry out the tests. The competiton was then extended by a year and 34 entries were received. However only one turned up for the the trials and that never flew.
