And some of Strelkas great-great-grandchildren can even still live in the US today, as
one of Strelkas puppies was given by Nikita Chruschtschow to John F.Kennedys
daughter Caroline !

Belka & Strelka were on the third test flight of the Vostok spacecraft.
accompanied by a grey rabbit, 42 mice, 2 rats, flies and a number of plants and fungi.
They were the first Earth-born creatures to go into orbit and return alive.
(First spacedog Laika died during flight from stress and overheating 1n Spunik 2)

Strelka (Стрелка, "Arrow") had six puppies, one of them Pushinka (Пушинка, "Fluffy") was give to Caroline Kennedy.
Pushinka and Kennedy dog Charlie had 4 puppies:
Butterfly and Streaker were given away to children in the Midwest.
White Tips and Blackie, stayed at the Kennedy home on Squaw Island but were eventually given away to family friends.
