In old Spielberger/Feist book "Sonderpanzer" there is this image. It reports to an improved LWS, with an armoured cab. Mind the passenger space behind. It was to field a "bridging device" between two of these vehicles. Is this the "missing link" between the LWS and the Panzerfähre?
Does someone owns the book "German Pioneer Equipment and Vehicles: Amphibious Vehicles" by Rodolphe Roussille?

Yes, I have that excellent book!

Pg 116: "In April 1941, WaPruf IVb signed a contract with Magirus to study the development of a light armored version of the Land-Wasser-Schlepper..."

Pg 117: the only reference to the picture above is that it was "A pre-study design model of the Panzerfahre prototype"
