Welcome aboard Danim,

and I think it was just a hypothetical design, not real one.

Looks like the hangar in the background reads 'Shell and BP Aviation Services' which would suggest it's not an aircraft manufacturer's doodle. They'd tend to avoid anything trademarky on renderings.

I wonder as to the significance of KH in the designation / registration. Artist's initials perhaps?

thanks for linking it here
I asked the curator at the museum of flight here in scotland and he had not seen anything like it before and none of the staff at Prestwick knew anything either One thought I did have was maybe it was a variation of the 2707 concept

also the rest of the paintings that are in the Viewing Gallery are all off real aircraft seemingly done by the same person

The other paintings also have Shell and BP Aviation Services logos prominently visible, so I imagine the pictures were commissioned by them.

Bears some similarity to the English Electric P10 Supersonic Bomber project.

I remember that painting from when I was a kid, when Prestwick was busy with VC10s, 707s and DC8s and the RCAF Starfighters (being maintained by Scottish Aviation) would go howling over my school.

Of course, I was ver, ver young.

Looks like they commissioned some work by Michael Turner back in the mid-1960s. Here's a Concord(e):

On a tangent, "Shell and BP Aviation Services" appears to have been a trading name operated by various affiliated companies in different countries. In the UK it was by Shell-Mex and BP Ltd ( SMBP), which existed from 1932 until at least 1973:

The PR material and artwork of the SMBP collection are open, but the file material is closed at the request of Shell.

Some material is held by the Southampton Archives Office:

Thanks for the information guys
I have contacted Michael Turner to see if he can shed some more light on the aircraft

yes, the aircraft look like the English Electric P10 study

I guess that is artwork for "Shell and BP Aviation Services" advertisement for aerospace magazine.

My dear Michel,

I think EE P.10 was faraway from it,but very similar to Hawker APG.1003.
