Please note: Cyrillic letter Y is equivalent to the Latin U, so it's necessary to name the project Antonov 'Samolyot U' or 'Izdeliye U'.
 
The translation is a bit hard to understand, but maybe this sentence could be taken
literally: "... installing additional fuel tank - it was given a wing shape and set on stands
in front of the cockpit." ?

The first version was originally solved installing additional fuel tank - it was given a wing shape and set on stands in front of the cockpit


В первом варианте оригинально была решена установка дополнительного топливного бака – ему придали форму крылышка и установили на стойках впереди кабины летчика

A rough (very rough indeed !) calculation shows, that this tank could hold at least about
20 litres. For such a small aircraft with its small engine, that's quite a lot additional fuel, I think. ;)
