Don't think I'd ever appreciated that the intent was to carry on past Arnhem, rather than to pause and consolidate.

Interesting use of 52nd Lowland Division, which is one of the more overlooked parts of 1st Allied Airborne Army, the problem being the air transportable role needed a secure airhead to bring the division into use, and on top of that there was never enough air transport to start with.
