Yes, V-60 (or Ka-60 early)

Yes, you're right. A bit different from the finished product but a Ka-60 project all the same. Thanks a lot Borovik.

Larger image of the Kamov Ka-65 from Vzlet magazine. I presume that the Ka-65 had a counter-rotating pusher prop like the Ka-92.

That's just a blowup from the presentantion slide, isn't it ?
But AFAIK the Ka-65 has contra props indeed.

Oops, sorry, it was the xported cdr-file with the thickest lines (exported via ACDSee). Had made a
number of files with different line width for the vertiflite article ... and snatched here the least appropriate !
Have changed the attachement now.

I thickened the lines a bit - I think this is closer to the ideal thickness.

That's very near to my variant stored as "Ka-65_0-25" giving the line width. ;)
And you're probably right, as here all details are just smoke and mirrors.

In my record I have a first flight in 1945, source not recorded. if true, it is not a project.

It's not true Patvig,

the Kamov Ka-17 was a project and never built at all,and as you see from the site,
it was developed in 1950 and not 1945.

There certainly is some confusion concerning the date of this design's conception/first-flight. The "modelist-konstruktor" site claims it was a project of 1953, but I've seen elsewhere that the Ka-8/Ka-9 were derivatives of the Ka-17 design, the Ka-8 first flight being in 1947. So a first flight of 1945 for the Ka-17 might be true.

Kamov Ka.9 ??? Never heard before... Please more info!!!

we often use the same 'reserve" designation for quite different projects

According to my records, the "Ka-9" designation was used for the second example of the Ka-8 when it was tested at Plant No.3 with stabilizing devices on the rotor heads.

NSV actually.

Ah, makes sense! Thanks.
You are welcome.
Of note are the different locations of the machine gun on the two mock-ups, which can be easily explained by the different electrooptics arrangements. The earlier model has an optronics drum-shaped turret above the cockpit and the machine gun under the fuselage, while the later one has the machine gun mounted on the side, to make room for a small optronics turret supplementing the bigger ball-shaped turret above the cockpit.

Real project or fake

That's the Kamov Ka-65, also known as the UVK. I believe we already have pics of it somewhere on the forum.
