Some potentially interesting articles:

"International Partners Sought to Complete Lavi," Aviation Week & Space Technology 127, no. 11 (14 September 1987)
Born In Battle: Defence Update From Kfir to Lavi No.55 1984
BIB DEFENCE UPDATE International No 76, Israel's new fighter The Lavi takes off, October 1986, pp 2-13

Aviation Design : n°23, juillet 1991. Auteur : Brian Anderson.
Air Fan : n°102, mai 1987. Auteur : Serge Brosselin.

Hmm, I've got a few bits on the Lavi from when IAI was looking at close collaboration with a US company. This data includes the original F404-powered Lavi as well as two hybrid designs combining the best of the Lavi design with significant elements of one of the US airframer's designs as a means of reducing overall costs.

Just made for that topic !!!!! ... finally "she's" out !!!!

Thanks for posting ... any chance of getting a larger scan ??? ... maybe here to: andreas_rupprecht@gmx.de

Regarding the pictures at Airliners.net .... sadly not the detail I'm currently looking for !

Thanks + Cheers, Deino ;D

Not here. It's not my scan and that's all I have.

For details reference, if not yet done check Sergei Batoussov's virtual heyl ha avir museum: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Cavern/6130/iafm_lavi.htm

Now, frankly, it escapes me why one would need details on the Lavi to research the J-10. There's already more than enough of those who absolutely need to stir mud...

Thanks, but its not for any comparison between the Lavi and the J-10 ... I'm searching for details for a friend of mine building a 1/32-scale Model of the Lavi !

If You like, take a look here: http://www.flugzeugforum.de/forum/showthread.php?t=38305

In french Lavi looks like "La vie" (Life ) hence many, many BAD jokes on article titles (Lavi va, lavi s'en va... entre lavi et la mort... ::) ::) ::) ::) )

Maybe this video contents some new's .... I haven't seen it completly but there's a twin-engined layout briefly seen on the beginning ...

Do you mean the israelian IAI Lavi from 1980 (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAI_Lavi)
or another one?

As I recall, its an early iteration of the Lavi, perhaps from the early stages when it was F404 powered and smaller (a true Skyhawk replacement). Not sure if its official though or an "artist's impression".

Hi ... yet another update of my friend's work - and maybe interesting to You "overscan" - Bekim finally received official help from IAI.

After lengthy discussions, negotiations and same additional help from around he got "green" light from IAI to finish his model by providing him some official line-drawings and detail photos from the remaining TD.

Cheers, Deino

Interesting!!
Thanks for sharing

As I'm a big fan of the 'custom' designed and built A-10 Thunderbolt II in its designed role and purpose, I've never been a fan of the USAF's loathing for this specialized aircraft. Let alone that of the idea of an adaption of an F-16 replace it! Saying this I think, due to the fact that the Israeli's designed the Lavi as a replacement for the A-4 Skyhawk and Kfir predominantly in the ground attack/battlefield interdiction role, along with Israel's appreciation of combat experience and losses in such roles, I think the Lavi would have been a better design for such a role, given the choice between F-16 (aka A-16) and Lavi
