The Advanced Projects Group grew out of HSA's bid for Concorde, then studied the possibilities for what might be flying twenty years down the road. Think their drawings were numbered APD-10xx (AP Drawing), but the projects were normally referred to as P.10xx. This was a completely separated series from the main Hawker numbering system. Project work tailed off from about 1971, after the death of Hugh Francis, and the Group morphed into the HQ Research Dept, overseeing all HSA research work.

Looking at Buttler's BSP-Fighters, it would appear that the use of two type numbers between Kingston and Brough for the same project only occurred in the Hawker Siddeley days. Once it became British Aerospace, this practice appears to have stopped. The P.163 and P.1215 were very different looking aircraft

For the last series,there was also the designation numbered 1034.

In F.K.Mason "Hawker Aircraft since 1920", Putnam the P.1134 is descrbed as "
possibly to ER.180D",aimed at a speed of Mach 3 to 4, whereas in AirPictorial
4/99 the P.42 is said to bedesigned along ER.181T, aimed at speeds between
Mach 4 and 5. So I would think, the P.42 would have been the logical next
step, but not a direct contender.

Propulsion a "Rolls Royce type C ramjet or turbo ramjet" Anyone have information on that engine?
Am unable to load image of the AC...the file is improperly reformatted. Will try something else.

The P.1092 was a Saab Draken lookalike from 1951. Surprisingly little bigger considering it is an all-weather two-seater.

The P.1126 is listed in the original post as a "P.1126: subsonic VTOL strike aircraft; multi lift with two Bristol-Siddeley Orpheus. "
However this thread suggests strongly that it was intended to be supersonic.
