I may even have existed for real ;) considering
- the number of variants each french fighter had (panick stricken etat majors)
- the number of radial-trainer derivatives of the Morane 406 (MS-470 Vanneau)
- the impossibility of having enough Hispano suiza 12Y for so much fighter types (VG-33, D-520, and many others)

Nice whatif :)

Indeed, it could have been real, but the designation is wrong, I think.
MS.407, 408 or something like that, ok, but as it would have been just
a variant of the basic 406, the first digit would have remained the same,
I think. Just remember the MS.470 Vanneau (in-line), with the later variants
MS.472 and 474 (radial) and 475 (again in-line).
And so the MS.506 was a re-engined MS.500 Criquet later. ;)

Probably i have thinked about german designations !

So could be a variant of 406 builded under german autorities control ! ;D
So an other possible designations is MS.416

in a fantastic enciclopedia of aircraft :
Morane-Saulnier M.S.506 Supermorane

Morane-Saulnier MS-506 Criquet ( a variant of Fieseler 156 builded by Morane)

Well, we're in the "speculative" section here and around 1939/40 there still
wasn't a MS.500, so, why not a MS.506.
And if the system (if there ever was one), would have been kept as it was
during the hectic days, who knows ....
LATER, I think, the so-called "Super Morane" was the MS.460, which was never
built, but is said in some sources to have been the basis for the swiss D.3802/
3803 (which in turn is often designated "MS.540" although in fact it wasn't a
Morane Saulnier type !") ... ::)
We wouldn't be the first to be driven mad by a french designation system, so,
just for our mental health, let it be the MS.506 !

But keep in mind the confusion, if someone searches the net for the MS.506 and
finds this fighter ! ;D

The purpose of this section is to post designs which are not serious designs by companies, but which are nevertheless interesting to forum users. Examples of this would be University graduate projects from an Aero Eng course, an artists impression published in Flight, more generally a design which has had real thought put into it. A design by a schoolkid of a super cool fighter is not appropriate. Science fiction or fictional film models, are largely outside the scope of this forum unless industry experts were consulted in the design.

Regardless, it is, like The Bar, an off-topic area. It is for the occasional interesting post for discussion, not a datadump of every fictional design ever thought of.
The final arbiter of what is acceptable is me. If you don't like this, tough. Find another forum.

Section Rules post. Please read.
