Thank you my dear Tophe,

and notice that the other Rumpler flying boat had only two fuselages

Judging this contemporary artist's impression, it principally were six, with only the inner four carrying
tail booms, but the outer ones used for carrying load/passengers, too and not just auxiliary floats.

From Wolfgang Wagner "Der deutsche Luftverkehr - Die Pionierjahre 1919 - 1925" a drawing showing
the internal arrangement of the Siemens-Schuckert-Werke (SSW) R IX.
The installation of the eight engines in the fuselage is clearly visible.

My dear Gabriel,

as my dear Jemiba mentioned, and the NASA report also.

Thank you all for answering. So, I think that Klamt design was the largest of it's kind (considering wingspan). Can we define what was the largest luxury flying boat design?
Hugs.

Hard to say my dear Gabriel.

Hi!

After looking a the material our friend recommended, (1926 volume of the German "Flugsport" magazine) I was able to find another image of the Klamt giant flying boat. Do you think it was also meant to have windows like a promenade in the leasing edge of the windows?

This Rumpler design is very interesting. Is there more information and images about Grulich design? Passengers were carrier on the large wing or on the fuselages?

My dear Gabriel,

I think in fuselages, and in reply # 31 more Info about Grulich Type-L and Type-S.

From Icaro 2/1929.
