V1 catching device

Seems to be an attempt to develop the sometimes used method of destroying the
VI by toppling it with the wingtip, because shooting them down had proved to be
quite dangerous for the fighter pilot, if the warhead of the V1 exploded. There once
was an article in Aeroplane Monthly about a Mossie night fighter pilot, who landed
with all fabric burned away from the control surfaces ..
But I doubt, that this installation would have done any better, than the standard
wingtip, especially, as all fighters seem to have had difficulties in catching up with
the buzz bomb.
Nevertheless, an interesting document !
