Hi,

Disappointed not seeing a mention of the Dee Howard "Big One" or any of the Airbus aircraft - the book title would imply they should have been covered.

Enjoy the Day! Mark

The Dee Howard monstrosity IS in the book, rather briefly. And the Airbus Beluga comes after the cover date of 1970.

Was the Fairchild "STRATOS" only a project? The others are all known to me...

I've bought the book, kindle version. My first one in this format. I must recognize that's a nice format when you read it on a computer/tablet big, high quality screen.

The book is a comprehensive story of the origins and development of oversize cargo aircraft in the USA until 1970. (I’d love to see a comprehensive book with World designs until the latest Beluga development)
There are many unbuilt projects include although most of it can be found published here, in the forum.

Anyway I recommend it.

The M-534 was a monstrosity made of B-36 parts.

Described in chapter 4, there is an artwork showing it.

Found a pic of the M-534 there

Not related to M-534, but found a nice pic while looking for it. A Super Guppy (developed from Boeing C-97J) compared to big US bombers from the 30's
