However, there is no guarantee that it could or would have flown, since this is not a detailed technical patent to protect a technology, a device, a system, and making a number of claims in the process, but merely a design patent meant to protect a certain shape or configuration from being copied. I would love to hear more about this Mr. Acosta and whether he tried to build flying scale models of the design or something.
