I would be grateful if the moderator would not merge this with other VJ 101 threads, as this only refers to
the evolution of the D variant before it was cancelled in 1964
I have been able to put together the evolution of the design from a virtual F104 copy into a much
more TSR2 like strike aircraft.
It would be fascinating to hear from anyone who was involved in these design studies.
PLEASE PLEASE do not post old photos of other VJ 101 variants here. This is only about the D

Ok, no problem. I'll take care to keep it clean from off topic posts

With a mix of official and unofficial drawings I would hesitate to draw conclusions on design evolution. Difference could be due to inaccurate drawings made from models or artwork.

Bit puzzled by the content and tone of the above.
The images are from different years and the fact
that the early ones are single seat and the later
ones are two seaters suggests change.
I appreciate my interest in this narrow 60s band
of projects is not widely shared, but I have been
following it for some years.

I tried the facething page but navigation fails.

Couple of fact sheets on the VJ101 D being sold on Ebay
