At ordata.info you may find information on three types of Egyptian unguided rockets:

110 mm HE rocket: https://ordata.info/ordnance?id=1325
80 mm HE rocket: https://ordata.info/ordnance?id=1312
84 mm HEAT rocket: https://ordata.info/ordnance?id=1320

They bear a resemblance to the Swiss 80 mm Oerlikon rocket but actually they are quite different, apparently bigger than that.

Probably the rockets saw service with the Egyptian Air Force, as the EAF had locally rebuilt MiG-17s with rocket rails under the wings and bomb racks under the fuselage. The version of MiG-17 was used in combat probably in 1967, but certainly during the Attrition War and in 1973, so the rockets must have been developed earlier, presumably in the first half of the 1960s.
At a museum in Egypt there is such an MiG-17 being exhibited, under wings of which there are rockets that may be 80mm HE. In some sources you may find reference to "76mm Sakr rockets" that probably are the very same that these depicted here.

Here you have some pictures form ordata.info.

Does anybody has more on these rockets and the Egyptian ground attack version of MiG-17?

Piotr

As only 10 attachments are allowed here you've got photos of the Egyptian ground-attack MiG-17s.

Egyptian T-62s used to, after 1972, carry two unguided rockets, one each side of the turret at a fixed elevation a'la Tulip style. I've only seen pictures of this fitting once, in International Defence Review way back then, in the late 1970s so unsure how common it was or what warheads the rockets carried (HE/Smoke?).

hi Piotr,

Attached is a photo of an operational Mig-17F with those Sakr rockets. (No info about date and place, unfortunately)

For the T-62s, there were several versions. I attache two photos of parades. (Parades are what the Egyptian army does best...)

As ordata.info unfortunatelly made their resources unavailable to the public, I'm adding here some additional info on the Egyptian rockets that come from the website:

110 mm HE Rocket:

Diameter/Width
110.00 mm
Length
1.26 m
Weight
13.60 kg

80 mm HE Rocket:

Diameter/Width
79.00 mm
Length
1.15 m
Weight
10.90 kg

84 mm HEAT Rocket:

Diameter/Width
84.00 mm
Length
1.24 m
Weight
10.70 kg

My comment:
I doubt the 110mm rocket weighted only 13.6 kg. According to what you see above it was heavier only by 2.7 kg than the 80 mm HE rocket. I feel a head with diameter larger by 30mm should have weighted more than that. What's your opinion?

Below you'll find cross-sections of the rockets.

BR
Piotr
