Looks, like ships' formation changed several times during filming. Did anyone know the exact designation of three main carriers and what small carrier sometimes appears in the centerline of formation, just after the nuclear carrier?
B-1Bs with F/A-18s give the good impression of whole scene size.
 
The three carriers are the Nimitz, Regan, and Roosevelt. The small carrier may be the JMSDF helicopter carrier. It it's not theirs, then it's one of ours.
 
It is the JMSDF helicopter destroyer Ise.

Good picture for spotting the differences between the two Japanese classes. Wonder when they'll start their next.

Nice pic. As for when the next carrier is built, AFAIK there has been no mention of one in Japan. Given that the helicopter carriers sequentially replaced the 4 Shirane and Haruna-class DDHs, which commanded the 4 escort flotillas, I doubt we will see new carriers soon - unless there is a change in policy.
