A must have, of course! My Miranda-Booksection will soon grow a little more. :D What do you mean by "Russian Fakes"?

I'm particularly interested to see the Focke-Wulf 1-TL Höhenjagdflugzeug mit BMW 018 (Super TL). Is the Super Lorin included? Also, if the Kurzbaubeschreibung Nr. 30 aircraft, aka TL-Jager Entwurf III aka Fw Ta 183 Design III, is in there (not sure from contents list), have you gone for the straight back version, the curved back version or both?

"Super Lorin" is included in the ramjets section, together with the Heinkel P.1080-01, the Skoda-Kauba P.14-01 and 02, the Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a (Lorin) , Me P.1101 L
and Focke Wulf Strahlrohrjäger (alias Ta 283)

Ahh - excellent. I'm still looking for the Super Lorin but no matter how many Focke-Wulf ramjet fighter documents I find, they always turn out to only include the Strahlrohrjager and Triebflugeljager.

"Russian Fakes" :D :D :D

Yeah, I see. I knew most of them, but "men at work" were new to me. Thanks! BTW: In the german MUSEUM OF TECHNOLOGY (in Berlin) is the legacy of Fritz Trenkle (yep the "Radar-Trenkle"). He collected also several russian fakes, myths and stories, e.g. Ta-183 becoming MiG-15 a.s.o.

Evolution? copy cat? Everybody cheats ;)

Great drawings in a great book! I'm sure! :)

Does the book contains drawing of the FW P.II early version? And all Flitzer project too?

Very much looking forward to this book. Does the section on the HF-24 include the various proposed versions? I remember seeing a scrap view of the front end of a proposed advanced version with variable intakes but I disremember where I saw it (German magazine, I think).

Cool! I've already pre-ordered the book from Amazon-US and I'll be very much looking forward to it. It should be an excellent reference for building some of the kits I have in hand.

Justo,

How do we order this such that as much of its purchase price goes to you directly?

With Steve Ginter's books, for example, I've found ordering through him directly is better for that than purchasing his books on Amazon. Does ordering this through Fonthill work better toward that?

The publisher always makes more money if you buy direct from the publisher. Whether the author gets more money depends on their deal with the publisher. As Steve Ginter is the publisher, it is always best to buy his books direct to maximise his revenue. Whether that means his authors get more money on books he didn't write himself - no idea.

So in this instance Fonthill get more money. Justo might or might not, but he will also benefit indirectly if his publisher makes more from his book in terms of future commissions.

New delivery date is Dec. 28th.

That was certainly the date given on the press release. Amazon currently shows a release date of December 14, price around £34.

No, in Germany the release Date was January 14th; now delivery date is Dec. 28th (as amazon.de informed via eMail).
Cheers

Surely an After-Christmas-Present (to myself ;))

The press release attached in the original thread-opener by Justo says:
Publication: 28 December 2017
Price: £30.00/$45.00
ISBN: 978-1-78155-664-1
Size: 248 x 172 mm
Binding: Hardback
Extent: 256 pages
Illustrations: 120 mono
Rights: World, all languages

Amazon.de, the website itself, says the title will be out on December 14, same as Amazon.co.uk. The price is slightly better though, at 33.99 euros. So perhaps in time to be an actual Christmas present!
Also, at 256 pages its the same size as The Ultimate Piston Fighters of the Luftwaffe and larger than either The Ultimate Flying Wings of the Luftwaffe (2015), which is 248 pages, or Axis Suicide Squads - German and Japanese Secret Projects of the Second World War (2016) at 224 pages.

Yes thank you. I´ve checked it too. But here´s the Text of the amazon.de-Mail "Miranda, Justo "Focke Wulf Jet Fighters"
Bisheriges voraussichtliches Lieferdatum : 30. Januar 2018 [old delivery date]
Neues voraussichtliches Lieferdatum : 28. Dezember 2017 [new appr. del. date]"
Just kinda strange. Anyway, I can´t wait!
Greetings

I can't order this book in far east Japan still now, too.
I can wait as usual. ;D

Anyone got this book?

First 3 books just arrived from Fonthill in a good priced bundle!

I thought December 28 (from the press release at the beginning of this thread), immediately after Christmas, seemed like an odd release date. February or March makes much more sense. I can't find anything on the Fonthill or Casemate UK websites but hopefully there will be some news soon.
