Is there any body who can tell me if the 12Y-21 was only for water cooling or was it also posible the cool it with glycol?
 
Wilkinson's Aircraft Engines of the World, 1941 says the 12Y-50 was ethylene glycol cooled and lists 12Y-21 specifications in the same section, but does not explicitly state the 12Y-21 was ethylene glycol cooled.
