Thanks Hesham,

But the patentdrawings were not exactly my question.
You mentioned in your first post that J.G.Taylor produced his
inventions for the the U.S.goverment.
Do you have info for what service.
What is your source for this information ?

My dear lark,

for the James Taylor,I just read that in original of
patents,also see;
http://www.google.com/patents?num=100&q=james+G.+Taylor+airplane&btnG=Search+Patents

I think we're going in circles here. I've never heard of this James Taylor fellow as being a figure in US aviation during the 1930s. Has anyone else?

Taylor's name, and some of the others on the patents, come up in a search of the Wright Field Engineering Division records. Specifically a Maj. James G. Taylor is credited with a patent. Wright Field is in Dayton, Ohio.
On Patent D100608 one of the names is Benjamin S. Kelsey.
http://www.af.mil/bios/bio.asp?bioID=6030
From the AF bio: "Transferred to the Materiel Command at Wright Field, Ohio, in 1934, General Kelsey was fighter project officer in the Engineering Section, and in addition participated in various phases of blind landing and instrument flying development."

So it seems likely that James G. Taylor was in fact Maj. James G. Taylor of the Engineering Division, Material Command, Wright Field.

Cheers, Jon

p.s. Here is the link to the instructions for the records finding aid built by the folks at the Aircraft Engine Historical Society:

The link to the actual aid is at the bottom of the instructions page.

Thanks gentlemen,
This is the info I was looking for...
