Judging the engines and details like landing gears in the drawings of the first post,
I would think of them as free flight models.

Yes my dear Jemiba, and welcome your return.

I have two versions of this design called "40000" and "45000" but they have canards.

With those straight wings, I'm pretty sure they need them. Contrary to, say some Fauvel designs,
the trailing edge still is well forward, so there would be no lever arm for the elevator, I think.

Also from Kryl'ya Rodine 4/1989,

a strange twin boom model ?.

The first image looks almost like an attempt to create a workable aircraft using a Busemann ringwing.

Hi. I'm curious… Where does this 1922 date come from? Which precise source? The earliest record I have on this is 1924 (journal publication). I read the was a patent in 1919 but it might be a misconception…

BTW, I just opened a thread on Tsander's early shuttle concept, the first ever matured by an engineer (to be fair, other pioneers examined this concept such as von Hoefft or Valier, but the first in-depth study of rocket shuttles was published by Eugen Sänger in Germany in the early 1930s)

A.
