Existence of theme "leader" (ie design of future DMZ, of "remote sea zone" combatant) is known for some time, but looks like it is first photo of something that it may look like.

Judging the shape of the bridge and funnels and the general appearance, I think,
that Triton is right. Maybe knowledge of the source of this photo (and perhaps
translation of a native Russian speaker ?) would help.

Over on that thread, as I recall, that was said to be nothing but a manufacturer's concept. Not an actual program.

It came from 2:48 in this video, with Russian Defence Minister General Sergei Shoigu viewing it after announcing exercises.
I don't speak Russian, so I can't vouch for anything in the video.

I don't think so, seems more of an evolution of the Kirovs class, big and heavily armed enough to be a blue water fleet's flagship.
