The ARCOCE project aims to develop CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) exhaust for turbojets. On the photo is CFM56-5C CMC mixer prototype that promises 50 % weight savings and sustaining more than 700 degrees Celsia. It was ground tested in 2011, flight tested on A320 in 2012 and is supposed to pass Air France flight tests in 2014-2015 timeframe.
