I cannot remember from wich magazine cover i've seen it.
It was some 4 years ago...
It was pictured in nasa markings on the cover.
Something like that...
(is this a weissmann planform?)
Please help me and excuse my bad english.

Could be FEB 2004,Stars of NASA,Bryant NASA Flight Research Center Lockheed F-104?
Unfortunately i can't see the cover.

No illustration on the cover. In the text only small caption
with the drawing.Wing planform must be reversed in the drawing above
(wingspan most wide in front)
Designation : NLF-104 - proposed modification by Norhrop /Grumman
for one of the NASA's Starfighters with Natural Laminar Flow Delta Wing.

Capition states : never before published rendering by Tom Tullis....

So far the above mentioned magazinearticle . 'Stars of Nasa' by Roy Bryant
 
It's based on the reverse delta research, which demonstrated that you could achieve near laminar flow without any aids; i.e.-it was achieved by just the shape of the wing itself.
