Hi all

You, certainly know this photos

Is this the He 111 Z v1 DH+DY ?
The wings are not modified on the central form
and I see a reinforcement horizontal bar of the tail.
Is the V 2 like this or not ?

Could you give me some details please.
Do you know other photos of this plane ?

I've seen this photo before, I think, it was on http://www.kheichhorn.de/html/body_heinkel_he_111z.html,
and I have severe doubts. It not even looks, as the outer wings were cut in the middle, instead of just at the
engine,but quite clearly there's a forward curvature, not to be seen on the standard wing. To my opinion, such
a modification would have made no sense, compared to the much simpler straight new center wing. And I
never found another photo of this configuration.
 
In any case that picture is doctored.


If you look carefully at the picture on the linked site in the previous post, you can clearly see that both fuselages are exactly the same image. Compare the starboard wings and you notice the same patterns returning as well.


Not sure whether this image was 'shopped' decades or just years ago.

But if I look to the photo....you are right ..........!!!

This photo indeed is around on several sources and probably was printed in magazines or
even books, too. A little bit strange and a good warning !

In the site for which I've posted the link it's quite clearly shown, that it is a fake, maybe from wartimes,
when no real photo was available. So, maybe for recognition purposes they simply made this photo from
another one showing a standard He 111. The rear connection of the fuselages may just have been found
necessary by the "artist". or perhaps there were (false !) reports mentioning that strut.
Anyway, this picture probably is quite old, as even with MS-Paint better results could be made, not to mention
Photoshop. Just via a picture seach with Google, I've found three sites, that show it as a true photo of a He 111Z.
That was, what I meant with warning.
