From NASA, one robot, slightly worn, only used to test spacesuits, needs a good home...

A robotic relic of the Space Age is going up for auction with the bids expected to reach US$80,000. Looking like C3PO's down-at-heel cousin, the Power Driven Articulated Dummy (PDAD) was developed for NASA in the 1960s by the IIT Research Institute in Chicago and was designed to test spacesuits.

Robot beer truck. They keep a human onboard which for this cargo would be useful to prevent hijacking. Still, like the caboose on a train, the human will eventually be considered redundant. A robotic application that increases demand for human employment doesn’t seem to be on the horizon. An end state where everyone has their own cadre of robots to fulfill their needs might solve the problem of a jobless future but there doesn’t seem to be a path to get there.

Great posting. Thank you GH.

Animators seem a bit paranoid maybe.

Glad you liked it. As to the plot, as far as I can tell, the Japanese robot gets stolen during the Robot expo, and the robots in it's class from other countries have to be mobilised to stop the rampage.
