Ohh does that mean the kit has been released already !!!

Certainly looks a good kit ;D

A hearty thank you, Greg, for the photos. Very nice model with super bonuses in the form of the transparent stand, ladder( in plastic!) and pilot figure, although the cockpit will have to be replaced with some resin aftermarket kit. I wonder how this compares to the all-resin kit by Resin Magazin in terms of dimensions and general level of accuracy. The obvious downside is the decal: it's good it's supplied, as opposed to the resin kit that has none, however most of the stencils and walkways are missing-another opportunity for the aftermarket. The pitot tube has no vanes-some scrap PE will have to be used here. Another shortcoming is the closed weapon bays, and a logical absence of weapons; I was hoping for the Kh-38, R-77M, upgraded Kh-31 and the likes. Looks like you can't have everything. :-[

It definitely looks close, but the center fuselage/wing blend doesn't look "blended" enough: it's too pronounced in the center of the wing area. Other than that gripe, it looks close and I may have to get it anyway.

Hmmm ... I'm still not sure about this kit ... even quite nicely molded, there seem to be some major differences to the resin kit. ???

Sadly, Zvezda made poo on their leg with this one. :'(

Spine can be corrected, but canopy, intakes and nose will be really hard to correct. With my skills, impossible. And god knows when (if ever) we get a new kit of T-50 in 1/72 scale. I was really looking forward to this, but i am utterly disappointed.

Hi. I see that flateric says that in Russia the price is U$S 11. Can you help me in find some online store that sell this kit? Thanks
Diego

Nice comparison of all "three" models so far ! .. the third one is the updated resin kit

It will surely appear soon in Western e-stores and eBay. I think you won't win much $$$ trying to buy it in barely existing Russian e-shops.

Deino, did you upgrade the RM kit yourself or is it a new, revised release? If so, where did you get it from-the Neomega site features the original kit only? Is it the Batch 2 Resin Magazin kit you can get on ebay? Finally, is the spine correction the only change made to the kit? ???

revised release, still in works ans still not matching original imho

IMHO, Czech are much closer at getting the shape right on the spine. :)

When buying russian/ukranian kits, i buy it from here:

Sorry that I was confusing or even misleading when I didn't give the source (fout at the ARC). I would be happy if this was my work ... it's (sadly) way beyond my modelling-capabilities. :'(

is this T-50? just look at nose profile and intakes...more like Hasegawa egg series...

Greg, thanks for the link to scalemodels.ru. If my Russian is any good, one member of the forum (Resin Magazin owner?) declares there that the revised T-50 resin model, complete with stencil decals, is due out early next year. Another kit to save up for. :p
The 1/144 kit is laughable, does any serious modeller go for this scale anyway?

I think that whatever it takes to modify Zvezda kit, it would be easier than trying to do something with RM one
I suppose that we will see other 1/72 T-50 kits in future

Seems as if the HPH kit is ready !! ::)

And now as finished built !

I am curious to know what the go is with the cockpit in the HPH kit. In the photo above it seems completely filled in whereas in the completed model photos it seems quite detailed. Any ideas?

Regards,

Greg

Hi Greg

Its probably skinned over in thin resin so the fuselage can be cast in one piece without having to mould around a hole which will make the process alot harder to manage. Its normally paper thin and can be cut out from below using a sharp blade.

Cheers

That does not look like the Zvezda Su-50 kit I'm working on. I'll post a picture or two soon.

Because it isn't. That is Pit-Road kit in 1/144.

Finally got a chance to take a look at my HpH kit. It is really fantastic kit, and i still really like the shape of it overall. A few bugs, but that is to be expected. However, i found a pretty big *f* up, but that is manufactoring related. A friend of mine has same problem, and i asked another person i know who has the kit.

This list announces PAK-FA in 1/48, from Zvezda:

I am skeptical....
