Late 1950s UK Tactical Fighter

Outside of the boundaries of this thread, given it's early 1960s technology, but what about a supersonic single-seat fighter/strike aircraft with P.1154 avionics in a conventional CTOL airframe, with a single Spey, Medway, Olympus or straight-through BS.100?

Isn’t that a redux 1121 kind of thing? Which to be fair would have been just fine.

Agree with Purpletrouble, that's a P1121. And hell, even a straight-through Pegasus would be utterly amazing... 25-28klbs dry, probably pushing 40klbs in afterburner.

Better avionics, which is probably the most important part. Alternatively view it as an Anglo-Viggen, all-British Jaguar with a radar and a single engine, or a fast pointy Anglo-A-7. Basically limited daylight and poor weather strike, with enough burst speed and acceleration to get away from MIGs or SAMs, with the capability to take the odd pot-shot with an IR homing missile if necessary.
