I like how the Cabin In The Woods Youngsters employed the, 'let's split up' method of spook investigation.

I'd love to set up one of these things.
Put magnets in the feet of a Ouija Board's planchette...a big magnet under a wood table to make it move by itself.

Audio spotlight so only one person hears voices...standing waves of ultrasound/infrasound....holograms.....thinnest robotics for a skeleton. cherry picker telescoping rod connecting to a harness where I could "float" down the hall toward some youngsters with my feet off the floor...hall lights going off in a row just ahead of my approach.

I'd have today's reality-challenged kids screaming.
