Hi All,
I recently found this shape on one of my journeys looking for all things aviation. I don't have a clue if it was used for. I am 99% sure it has something to do with a wind tunnel due to its construction and mount to put it on a stand. Only marking on it are the words "BODY NO.15" They were selling a bunch of items from an estate of an engineer involved in the Aeroballistics at Naval Ordnance Laboratory in White Oak MD along with this shape. The seller didn't know what it was either, they believed it was a mold used for hat manufacturing!! Any ID help would be much appreciated! THANKS ALL :)

Looks very much like a bomb to me, and as it was sold by someone from
the Aeroballistics at Naval Ordnance Laboratory ...
Maybe it was used for separation tests ?
