Hallo all,
there are two pics of Bristol aircraft projects, but I have no Type-number. Do you know the correct designation?
1) Bristol 100-Ton Bomber evtl. Type 168 ?
2) Bristol H.7/42

According to the following sources:
BSP Fighters and Bombers 1935-50 (Tony Buttler)
Giants of the Sky (Bill Gunston)
The British Aircraft Specifications File (Air-Britain Publication)
seems that no Type Number was raised for that 100-ton bomber
I haven't found which design match with Type 168 number (Type 167 is Brabazon I/II and Type 169 is the Buckingham)
H.7/42 is Torpedo Bomber developed from Beaufighter required to meet OR.117. Dated 3/12/42 and Issued 10/12/42 to Bristol. Type number is 164: Bristol Brigand.

Bristol 168 - military variant of the 167.
( no mention that is was a bomber.Could also be a cargoplane.)
p.s. 100ton design with butterfly tail was Bristol's second attempt for a 100ton bomber.
Butterly tail was also used in the first concepts for the 167 Brabazon.
sources: Bristol aircraft since 1910-Putnam
Flight-19 September 1949.
