Hi all,

I have found little informations about a french fighter named Caquot C.1. Some technical data: L:10,75m / Sp: 13,00m / F: 26-27m² / gross weight: 3725kg / Vm at 10000m 605km/h / high: 12100m.
Engine: 1*1200HP.
Do you have a drawing of this project?

It is not in The "Complete" book of fighters.
Do you know approximatively the date?
With such and engine and speed, it seems dated of the late 1930ies, so it could be in the "Trait d'Union" magazine (with a serial of articles about French aircraft projects 1919-45).
 
There was an Albert Caquot as chief of all the french national aeronautic industry from 1938 to january 1940 (he resigned). He was a well known aeronautical (too) engineer in France :

Maybe he wrote a programme about a new C1 fighter ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morane-Saulnier_M.S.325 indicates, as Deltafan suggests, that Caquot did indeed script requirements for France's Air Force in the 1930's.

I have checked and the answer is No, sorry. The alphabetical Part 30 is Bréguet, Part 31 is the beginning of Caudron. Caquot would be in between. (Or maybe it could be in an addition in some issue later, but I will not check the whole collection...)

The Complete Book of Fighters includes only projects that flew. There're no paper project.

I have received today the Index of all Trait d'Union issues 1 to 250, and there is no Caquot entry, sorry. See below: there are very unknown French companies, but no Caquot sorry.

Hi,

Mr. M. Caquot was the president of the SNCA firm (Société Nationale
de Constructions Aéronautiques),he shared with his recommendation
for the engineer A. Kolko to the SNCAO company to design the ACA.5
fighter,and definitely the C.1 was for SNCA company.
 
Hesham is right ,and here, the Kolko ACA-5 ,recommended to M.Kerguisquel (SNCAO ) by M. Caquot ( SNCA ).

Very strange,they spoke here about M. Caqout,and two projects,one of them is a fighter-bomber;


I think we should talk about the list closest to the armistice because nomenclature has been evolving over time.This list is established by the Committee for the aircraft and new engines of 29 November 1918, chaired by Maj. Caquot.There are 2 new types: type S to attack aircraft (capable of performing ground attack machine gun or bomb, the fighter-bomber that appears) and type BN bomber night oddly enough not on that of 1917, although aircraft, it is true not designed for it initially confined there to be seen in that role since 1916.We see then existing types decline in new types in April 1919, the types Cap2 for tandem hunting high recognition for Can2 seater night fighter, Ab2 seater armored Bp2 seater bombing day for tandem Bs2 bombing battlefield and assault and Bpr2 Cab for protection bombing day ... but that is another story (source: Albert ETEVE "Victory cockades" Robert Laffont 1970).

I think it was not Kolko fighter,the data and dimesions are different ?.
