Artist's impression of the Lockheed Martin Littoral Combat Ship - Israel (LCS-I) for the Israeli Navy. Some sources define LCS-I as Littoral Combat Ship - International.

For forum members information:

Israel is reported to have lost interest in the LCS and is apparently now looking at Meko corvettes.

Yes, the Israeli Navy rejected the Lockheed Martin LCS-I as too expensive after ten years of study to adapt the vessel for their requirements.

The Israeli Navy also rejected the Northrop Grumman Sa'ar-5B Littoral Corvette as too expensive. I believe that the concept was also known as the Northrop Grumman Multipurpose Corvette and Littoral Corvette seen here:

The wider issue with those boats has been that Israel was not impressed, they have had severe top weight issues and this is probably what has inspired the search for larger vessels.
