I have played a lot with clouds like that myself ( I know ) and once you have done that, you get a sense for the proper scale of what you are looking at in this video. I do not have the slightest doubt about what it is.

It sounds plausible, but where is the leaf blower on steroids sounding engine that is not audible on the tape?

Why would it be audible?

my two cents - absolutely unrealistic place and flight maneuvers for such an UAV

Why would it be audible? I have been around many ultralights and the engines are always incredibly agonizingly loud.

Agonizingly loud compared to.... military turbofans?!

That is powered hang glider pilot just playing with the clouds.
Looks like a powered hang glider to me too. Turn radius and rate of turn give it away.

The new AvWeek has a short article on the "beast of kandahar". It didn't add much, but this I found interesting: "[the vehicle] was being rolled into a General Atomics hangar". Could it be that GA has two stealthy UAV programs going on in parallel? I for one doubt it.

Wow! So now I want to repeat once again the speculations about the landing gear. It really is big and the main gear has only one wheel (compared to the two used on the Polecat), suggesting the small size and the weight of the aircraft. What I found really interesting are also the landing gear doors. The front is unusually shaped and big (!), placed only on one side and probably causing a lot of problems with the side wind during the landing, while the rear doors are much longer than expected and needed. Note also very simple exhaust nozzle.

Would this mean it's a composite, a falsification?

Are you quite sure it's the landing gear door? It looks like a bomb bay door to me! This UAV definitely looks like a smaller version of the Polecat...

I see Sweetman has been reading SPF again. Hi Bill! There will be a LOT more information about this bird in the next few weeks It'll be going up on SPF first most likely.
