CAPRA/MATRA Projects

Hi,

Mr. Jacques Moulin designed for CAPRA in 1942,a flying wing airplane Project,
had a twin rudders at the tip of the wings, maybe this was called R.50 or R.60,
just my suggesting.

Very nice work Galgot,

and I want to add,when refusing R.80 and R.90 to materialize,CAPRA suggest a three
engined flying boat with single fuselage instead off twin fuselage, but also failed.

I'm working on sketches of the CAPRA R20.

It seems that all the 3 views created in the 1970's are wrong about the exhausts.
The vertically mounted air cooled flat 12 has the exhausts top and bottom.
Yet all the drawings show the exhausts were the inlet manifold are.
Furthermore, in the picture of the landing gear, one can clearly see the exhausts stacks being vertical.
I can't find any images of planes with the Béarn 12 A, but the Béarn 6D (lower half of a 12A) equipped Sud-Ouest SO.95 has bottom exhaust and side vents...

So I'd imagine being exhaust perpendicular and flush to the skin top and bottom... And assume that the stuff on the side is the hot air outlet/carburettor intake.

Anybody got any info on the Béarn 12 A by any chance?

Interesting,
The website mentioned by Hesham (http://modelarchives.free.fr/Bestiaire/ROB_FW_P/index.html) describes the project designed in 1942 by Roger Robert.
And in the following website, the life of the same Roger Robert is written by a certain .... Jacques Moulin:

In Le Fana 402,

they suggest it was R-60 ?.

In JAWA 1947,

they spoke about twin-engined single-airscrew fighter Project,was it R.40 ?.

My dear Retrofit,

maybe we can say, this first one R.50 ? and second could be R.60 ?.
