Early Aegis footage

I have vague memories of a mass raid test of the Aegis system similar to what the Phoenix missile went through. This was back in the early 80's (I think) and I can't remember exact details but I thought it involved a dozen or more targets and the Aegis system managing a matching number of interceptors launched and in the air at the same time. I haven't been able to find any historical records of the test and I'm beginning to wonder if my memory is playing tricks.
