It'd be interesting to see this done for existing vs. prospective Russian ships. It'd also be interesting if one had a similar tool where one could specify new ships. I bet one could set up the basic calculations in excel (or another spreadsheet).
I wonder if developing anti-ship weapons will tend to encourage large missile defence platforms or smaller platforms to distribute assets over a larger number of targets? The other interesting thing is to look at the needs of expeditionary forces vs. the needs of pure naval superiority forces... quite interesting on the whole.
I was also struck by how conservative the current plan is.
