Just finished is my Vought Naval Attack Proposal. Decided to do it in MARINE markings as I really didn't want a dark blue or silver. Sorry Jared, just couldn't resist. The upper and lower turrets retract and extend via a spring magnet. Carved of Jelutong with metal and resin fiddly bits, it has a 24 inch wingspan and is 23 inches in length. Next on the list is a NORTHROP Coin proposal that sorta looks like a P-61ish design. Enjoy!

Interesting looking plane. But are there drawings or specs somewhere? I searched this forum and only came up with very different versions of V-356 for the Navy OS-211 escort fighter requirement.

Thanks. That's really different from the versions of V-356 we've seen. I like it.

Where did you find that particular 3-view. Wasit by itself or part of a set?

it was by itself.....there were several iterations and this was my fav......

I just checked my copies of the Model V-356 design study 3-views and, including yours (which I did not have), there were at least seven (7) different design versions of the 356 submitted for consideration.

IIRC, wasn't the V-356 a turboprop-powered ground attack variant of the F7U Cutlass?

Amusing how this model has hollow spinners to admit combustion air to the turboprops.
Did those spinners even make it as far as wind tunnel tests?
Did any hollow spinners ever make it as far as production?
Yes, we know that the firstfprototype Focke-Wulf 190 had a hollow spinner, but all production FW.190s got conventional solid spinners,
