Not sure about the aircraft, but at least I think I know where the pic was taken.

Look at image 1A I uploaded below: I marked some references with numbers and different colors to make it easier to spot them.
Red 1 marks a lightpole.
Yellow 2 marks a building in the background, notice the windows.
Green 3 marks a fence.
Orange 4 marks a tank.

Look at image 7. Spot the only round tanks visible from the satellite picture on the left side (near Dr. Pepper Snapple).

Zoom in with image 2. Mark references in image 2B like done previously in picture 1A.
Try to find images from the ground on Gateway Dr on Google: images 4 and 5 (notice windows, same shape as seen in image 1)

Image 6 comes from Bing, and I suppose it was taken some time before image 7 (which is taken from Google Earth): notice the hangars visible in image 7 are not there in image 6, so there has been quite a lot of activity in that place in recent times.

I haven't yet been able to find out what takes place in that part of the airport, but I've been at it for just half an hour.

I'll see if I can get some more OSINT ;)
Regards.

Odd looking plane, fuselage looks a bit like an amphib or a ahuttle, wings appear thick. Poor-visibility cockpit too. There's a forklift present despite it looking like it has no need for such cargo-moving services.

Hollywood prop?

That airfield is "Southern California Logistics Airport" at Victorville
better know by older members of this forum as "George Air Force Base"

Today it's used mostly as Airliner "boneyard" and Hollywood filming location and prop storage
from Blockbuster to TV commercials, if needed a Airport or Aircraft they goes there for it.

So very likely that was is on the Photo is a Prop for TV series or Movie.

I haven't yet been able to identify what's located in that part of the airport, but reading the original thread, the idea that it may be a boundary layer ingestion aircraft doesn't seem that farfetched.

Here's a concept from Airbus called VoltAir of a similarly configured vehicle:
