A weapon before its time, to be sure, but moreso the Brigadier. It anticipated the magnum pistol market by three decades, although with some deficiencies. I can't imagine, though, that the Borealis would have been very effective. A single-stack magazine, a very lightweight core, and the recoil of the .45 Winchester Magnum (which is what the .45 NAACO was, essentially) would have made it quite a handful.
