Got the book "Military, Naval And Civil Airships since 1783" by Daniel George Ridley-Kitts, containing
several airhip projects, besides those actually built.
My favourite in this book so far is an Anti-Zeppelin Airship, designed and actually built up to the main
structure by the Marshall-Fox-MacMechan A/S Syndicate. Quite small for an airship with a length of just
72 m, but with a rigid structure, similar to the Schütte-Lanz types. Armament should consist of two machine
guns and a 2 pounder gun, all handled by a crew of just 4 men. Inspected by the Admiralty, it was deemed
to be impractical.
Nevertheless, I cannot get the scene out of my head of two airships fighting against each other !
