I hope we don't reach the point where men who walked upon the Moon exist only in our memories, rather among us.

Also, here is a favorite photo. It's a stitched panorama of Gene Cernan aboard the Apollo 17 Lunar Module Challenger (LM-12) after the third (and last) EVA on the Moon by mankind. Cernan's face is out of focus, but what is clear is the ash-like Moon dust on his and Harrison Schmitt's spacesuits and even on his face. Hard work has been done.

This is sad that Gene Cernan has died
What also is sad: that 45 years ago he was last man who left the Moon

to make a example is Spain, 1492 Columbus reach islands of America, in 1519 Hernán Cortés start conquest of today Mexico
That is a 27 years gap

But lucky times are changing thanks to SpaceX and Blue Origin. so we could see the conquest of Moon and Mars in our life time...
