Burnt S-300 launcher at Ashuluk firing range, Asktrakhan region of Russia

Here are a couple others (probably everybody's seen them but may as well add them):

Now here's an interesting one, albeit Patriot. At 0:48 there's an apparent failure and the system appears to automatically launch a second one immediately. I say it appears automatic because the second also fails whereupon a 3rd missile is launched but from a different launcher. I wonder if the system is smart enough to consider, "maybe that other launcher has issues".

Looks like the ignition timer failed.....

Interesting that that motor is pulsing so powerfully there for a bit that it's shaking the camera.

I *suspect* it's messing with the moving parts of the optics, rather than the whole camera. Still, it's terribly sporting!

The story I read was that Russians use old S-300 rounds for testing, when you use a cold launch system with that, you get spectacular results. Or, quality control is just bad.

Here's a question, why did one of the three fails cause an explosion?

This has had me confused; we see one missile just drop onto the launcher and do nothing, another have some sort of breakup and deflagration of the propellant, and another that sounds *a bit* like an explosion, but leaves no burning chunks of missile. My interpretation of the latter is that actually the missile motor fired, just *very* late.
