A shame it wasn't written by an F-106 pilot. I've got a small book on the B-58 Hustler, written by a former Hustler pilot, and the anecdotes are the best part of it.
 
My my. Well maybe the author has buddies from the F-106 community and collected some good stories from them.

I'm kinda hoping we see some stuff on unbuilt versions. But, fingers crossed.
 
As I said elsewhere, I hope they add apostrophes to the title. It would make it look more professional.

Just finished mine. It's a great book with some beautiful photos. There are some unknown terms to me and the odd minor mistake -
Julian Lake commanded VF-74 not Julian Gray . There's lots of information on the ejection seat problems (scandal?) and the whole rebuild/rework saga tells us that the F-35 programme's travails are nothing new.
 
Just received my copy. You’re right about the photos.
I have many great memories of being on the Margate, NJ beach when these guys in their red-accented livery would suddenly appear, roaring along a few hundred feet over the surfline at very high speed and startling the bejabbers out of us bathers. The planes of the New Jersey Air National Guard were, I believe, the last F-106’s to retire.
