You may be familiar with the drawing at the end of the 1963/4 Janes Fighting Ships of the CVA 01 but you may not have seen the plane that the ship is shown carrying

This was one of a number of projects mooted in the early 60s as a fighter/attacker for the 70s

I know of a lucky person who has the original desk model!
 
If I am thinking of the right picture, I think the aircraft might just be a generic representation - the wings appear to fold all the way back to parallel with the aircraft centreline.
