That would be handy in any small unit no matter what the task. Ouch. Any data on range?

Three barrels suffice for Gatling principle, more barrels in ground/ground applications = for high rpm (for show, not battle).

There's no reason for such a gun, though. 3,000 rpm is possible with a single barrel gun https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ShKAS_machine_gun#Variants (even more with a single barrel revolver gun) and 1,500 rpm is easily possible with normal (not unreliable or very heavy) machineguns. Gast guns are available as well.
Furthermore, water cooling would be more cost and weight efficient than gatling principle for countering overheating.
