I've been looking around for data regarding the maximum indicated and true airspeed (barber-pole) of the B-29: Though there are figures which seem to indicate around 357 mph online; the aircraft was power-limited early on, which is of course why the XB-39, B-44, and B-50 were all built.

I did some searching for a B-29 manual I could read online and it didn't seem to come up, though an indicated air-speed of 195 was indicated for 30000 (which is around 310 true), but it was a cruise speed: The interest I have in this regards the maximum speed in which the bomb-bay doors could be opened safely: The manual seems to imply that it's the same as the maximum speed for the aircraft, though this may or may not be true.

That being said, to recap
1. What's the maximum TAS for the B-29 (i.e. barber pole)?
2. What's the maximum IAS for the B-29 (i.e. barber pole)?
3. What is the maximum TAS/IAS for the bomb-bay?

Here are two different B-29 manuals online.

Look through there and hopefully you'll find your answers. Note how these two different charts differ for a start :)

Emergency high speed cruise at best conditions is 390mph (TAS) @ 35,000ft on chart 2 (80-90,000lb weight)
