There is no relation to an aircraft manufacturer - it's just an imagination how Lufthansa officials had thought about this theme/topic.

Careful with that site !
I wouldn't take too serious, what is told there, although we probably will
never know exactly, as one of the female leaders of this organisation left
for Aldebaran in 1945 .... !    ;D

Lufthansa Mach III SST concept......
Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about a "concept" for a notional Mach III SST produced by Deutsche Lufthansa AG......

The article comes from the 27th October 1961 issue of Les Ailes......

My dear Caravellarella,

I open this topic before about the same subject;

http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,2434.0/highlight,germany+sst.html

I couldn't find it with our "wonderful" (not) search engine Hesham......

I was looking for "Lufthansa SST", not "German SST"; and it is a concept and not a "project" after all......

Topics merged. As boxkite wrote, this wasn't actually a project, but just an
imagination of the Lufthansa officials.

In that case, shouldn't the topic be renamed "Notional Lufthansa Mach III SST concept" and moved to concepts?

You're right, of course, sorry !
It was my fault, when I merged these topics, the result should be here in this section.   :-[

There is an article about Lufthansa Mach III SST concept in the magazine Flugzeug Classic, January 2001, pages 64 & 65.
This concept has an interesting feature of a swiveling (pivoting) nose instead of a Concorde’s drooping nose. IMHO just like some types of ball point pens, BICs (r), BIROs (r) etc.. ;)
More info & snapshots will follow during the next few days.
