that China was working on such Space Glider is not new
we discussed some years earlier about Chinese shuttle project and Gliders

in 2008 Wang Zhuanshan (the Secretary General of the New China Space Research Society)
explain the planned use of a Dynasoar-like orbiter around 2020
so Yuanzheng-1 could be test model of that

welcome to April 1st ;D The Yuanzheng-1 (“Expedition-1″) is a upper stage , uses a small thrust 6.5 kN engine burning UDMH/N2O4 with specific impulse at 3092 m/s. The upper stage should be able to conduct two burns and has a 6.5 hour lifetime.
