Atlas Moon Rocket

That watermark on the lower-left corner of the picture suggests somebody here might have some info. ;)
 
That was General Dynamics proposal to cluster three Atlas rockets in late 1950s
The Idea was to tripple the Payload

But USAF and NASA show no interest in that concept, they had eyes for Saturn I

Someone very well might. Hell, someone might have spent much of yesterday digging through old files looking for the reports on this very thing, and someone might be a little spooked and concerned that it "coincidentally" came up today. Someone might well conclude that the NSA mind-scanning program has been hacked and the data is being sold on the darkweb...

wait, are that Centaur upper stage as cluster too ?
